I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.
“Climate individualism keeps us small and weak, and holds the status quo and vested interests in place.”
We can’t do it on our own. Yes huge corporations and industrial greed and (corrupt) government are blockers (to put it nicely). Collectively we can make a difference - for example, if one person leaves a bank that heavily invests in coal and gas, no biggie, but if 5% (or more) customers leave the bank and it starts impacting profits... that’s when things start changing.
I also believe that individuals can make an impact too, by showing that small changes are do-able, and making positive changes become part of the norm.
