So I’m driving back from Target and I see this column of smoke as I’m coming down the highway.  Every time this happens in the general area of where I live, I immediately think, ‘oh shit, how close is it, is it my house?’.   So as I’m sitting there calculating the position relative to where I am and where I think my house is, the smoke gets thicker and blacker and I round the bend and right where the road splits from Interstate 376 to Interstate 79 there is car on fire.

Not a little, ‘oh, we can see some flames under the hood and it’s mostly smoke’ on fire.  This is Hollywood on fire. This is engulfing the vehicle so things are turning black and holy fuck how much gas is in this thing the fire department has emptied the road and there’s a man dressed like he came from the office on the shoulder with both hands on the back of his head and his elbows sticking out shifting his weight and rocking in a semi-circle like holy fuck holy fuck on fire.

And it is two lanes away as I take my exit, but even at that distance, even with my windows rolled up, my air conditioning on, and two frozen items in the seat next to me, I can feel the heat.

Helo tumblr just showed me your blog and why is your in-progress fic in comic sams hjsskksksk

smiling-like-a-snake answered:

comic sans has a tendency to not only stimulate creative flow better than other fonts but it’s also easier for dyslexic people to read because it’s a bottom weighted font and has constant continuous difference between each of the letters.

the change between comic sans and times new roman is that if you look at the same amount of writing in times and then compare it to comic sans, the circular, spinning font gives more character and makes it less of a creative eyesore to read.

the science of comic sans

get over yourself and start writing in comic sans

comic sans is quite literally one of the best fonts to write in. period.

is it a hideous font? yes.

should you use it in design? fucking no absolutely not.

but for reading and writing it is amazingly effective as it is designed to be. i write in it pretty often myself - especially with smut. don’t dismiss the power of the cursed font.
