Why did you deem it necessary to put to f slur in good omens.
Because, thirty years ago, that was an odd word that wasn’t used as a slur in the UK, except by visiting Americans. In the UK fags were cigarettes, faggots were meaty pork dumplings or (as discussed in the text) bundles of firewood. So we were using the word to indicate that the people using it were Americans of a particularly bigoted kind.
And because it is no longer 30 years ago, and we have moved on, it’s not a word you’ll hear in the TV series.
