Huh. I’ve never really thought about it before.

Most of the things that have happened, happened in the past. The vast, vast majority of the world can only be experienced by the history it left behind. By it’s ruins, it’s corpse.

I think that anyone who wants to know how the world works, has to become fascinated with how things rot.

So whenever I read stories of all these grand places and people and countries, I always imagine what it would be like to try and divine the events of the story archeologically.

It’s so much more interesting, to me, is to hint the reader a tale of drama and action and romance, and then hand them a corpse.
