Study #3!
The friends
Back to drawing book crowley because I missed him very much
They love me down there…
Thanks everyone who came to the stream last night! It was a lot of fun and always great talking with y’all 💖💖 Will likely do another one Wednesday!
Also it’s his eyes melting and being replaced with serpent eyes, not tears, although I’m sure there’s some of those as well lol

i showed my father, a gruff traditional irish-catholic deacon, good omens. he was enamored by it and wanted to tell you thank you for the time and care that went into researching and referencing christianity. he appreciated the humor and thought all the jokes were all in good taste, and he feels that good omens is one of the few pieces of secular media that drew from his religion respectfully. we bonded over watching it as a family and it was a great experience. thank you from me as well.
That’s really heartwarming. Thank you! (And thank him!)
Every time I read a Discworld book, even if it’s only a couple pages, I get smacked with shockingly relevant and insanely well-put wisdom with a good dose of humor.
I am near certain that Terry was in fact magic, and that magic is called perception and eloquence.

The one who always cooks at home: I think Aziraphale is more motivated to do so, but really, the both of them bustling around each other in the kitchen, trying and failing to recreate an ancient dish they only half-remember? That’s the good stuff.
The one who always orders out: I mean again, both of them, but I do love Crowley insisting on picking up the check and doing the actual ordering for them both, I’m a sucker for that.
The one who sings loudest in the car: It depends on what’s playing. Like, Crowley probably sings along to a lot of his music in a soft kind of way rather than belting, and while Aziraphale does know the words to all of Queen’s greatest hits just via exposure, he doesn’t necessarily sing along to them. However, if Crowley pops in the works of Gilbert and Sullivan, well then you’ve got Aziraphale getting INTO it at top volume.
The one who loves sappy movies: Aziraphale. The thing is, I think Aziraphale is not at all embarrassed to cry if a work of art is moving, film included, and… well, he’s soft. And he loves it, every single time a family is reunited or two lovers wind up together or a lost dog comes home, his heart thrills! Crowley is also soft, but he HATES crying at movies, and he certainly doesn’t want anyone to SEE him do so, but if Aziraphale wants to see something together and can’t be convinced to see a thriller or an action movie, Crowley will sit there, tears gathering behind his sunglasses as Aziraphale squeezes his hand and gasps softly and openly WEEPS, pretending he thinks this is stupid and he’d rather be watching the new James Bond.
The one who goes for a hug first: I mostly see Aziraphale being the first to go for a hug, though there are types of contact I can see Crowley being the first to initiate– pre-and-early-relationship, I don’t see Crowley going for an unsolicited hug unless Aziraphale really seems to NEED one. Though of course once they’ve been together a while, Crowley will CONSTANTLY initiate them because hugs are warm and pleasant.
The one who asked the other one out first: You know what, I feel like if you asked them, they would give very different answers, and perhaps be unable to agree on a definition of ‘asked out’.
The one who did or will propose: I can see it going SEVERAL ways actually, but they’re ABSOLUTELY the couple where whoever gets proposed to first pitches a fit because he had ALSO been planning an elaborate proposal for weeks and he left the ring in a hiding spot at home because he thought this would be an ordinary date, and now he’ll never get to do his big proposal, but you know, also crying and saying of course the answer is yes. (Alternately, Crowley doesn’t pitch a fit because now he knows if he does HIS big proposal next week they’ll probably get a free dessert again and Aziraphale loves dessert, and also the odds of Aziraphale not marrying him now that he’s gone and proposed first himself are very low so the pressure is off) (alternately-alternately, no one really proposes but they do eventually have a conversation about how they’ve essentially been married for like a thousand years at this point and maybe they could pick out rings or have a cake)
The big spoon: Often Crowley, because he loves that whole ‘he feels safe with me’ feeling that comes of wrapping himself around Aziraphale and feeling him relax, but when winter rolls around, Aziraphale is more likely to take the big spoon position, for warms. This is also true when Crowley is snake-shaped.
The little spoon: The inverse, Aziraphale loves the cherished feeling that comes with having Crowley spoon up behind him, but is also always happy to be the big spoon when it’s chilly and Crowley needs warming up.
Be that hopeful feeling when Eden was lost
That’s been next to all after since the master was crossed
Which side of the wall really suffers that cost
Oh, lover be good to me

Got kind of caught up by the idea of “what if when their wings aren’t out the appear as tattoo like designs on the backs of their shoulders/upper arms” and got a little carried away. ((companion piece [here]))
