It hurts me a bit that our celestial dudes kinda forgot about Warlock as soon as it turned out that he wasn't the Antichrist. I mean, they spent some 6 years together and I would love to see more of their interactions. Also almost every kid fic on ao3 involves Adam as their adopted child and it seems a bit unfair to me when there's Warlock.

oh man there’s a really good post about this that basically says that they treat warlock the way heaven and hell treated them, just like, a means to an end, and then by the time they have that moment with adam they’ve really learned to reject the way they were ‘raised’ to elect for something more human. if somebody has the link to this please add it to this post! anyway yeah there’s loads of possibilities re: the nanny/gardner era and even beyond post-apocalyptia. i suppose sometimes we just gotta write the fic we want to see in the world for ourselves!
