I feel the need to apologize. I recently came to a shocking realization: I prefer the film version of Stardust to the novel. I always like both versions of most things when they’re both done well. This especially applies to your work and their adaptions. But the books usually edge the films out. But yeah, I realized today that the film’s climax actually put it over the book. So I feel the need to apologize. Sorry.

Why apologise? I like the end of the film much better for a film. It was why I suggested it. On the other hand, I like the end of the book much better for the book.

Hey, I wanted to say thank you for good omens. I’ve had some pretty dark stuff early in my life and it made me non trusting, manipulating (not in the bad way, I was just scared of loosing control) and pretty much emotionless. I always thought I was evil or a bad person, but after good omens, more specifically Crowley, I noticed that I’m not bad, just hurt, and i try to be better, and learn to feel again. Maybe even believe in the world a little, or in humanity. So thank you 💚

You are so welcome. From me and from (wherever he is) Terry as well.

Hello Neil! I just wanted to pop in and thank you for all your wonderful works but especially Coraline. I read the book after my first major spinal surgery when I was bedridden. Your famous line "when you're scared but you still do it anyway, that's brave." has stuck with me as I've gone through the other 5 spinal surgeries and all the horrid things that have come with that territory. I still live with chronic pain but that line constantly plays in my mind and has helped me to keep going💕

I’m so glad it helped. And you are very brave indeed.

Hi—first I wanted to say that I absolutely loved the adaptation of Good Omens, and second I had a question about the second episode, during the scene of Newt’s brief time as a wages clerk. Was that part deliberately filmed in that sort of shaky, abrupt, fast zoom style to allude to shows like The Office? Was just wondering because that’s immediately where my mind jumped to when I saw the camera work there.

It was!
