Here’s me stepping in it, but oh well: we do realize that asexual people can be “that gay” with one another, right? Still doesn’t mean they’re sleeping together.

And, I might add: my best friend and I are constantly mistaken for a couple. I mean every. time. we. go. out. From judgy looks to young queer kids swooning over seeing representation in the wild. To the extent that she wants to get herself shirt that says “my friend is actually single, and looking!” We’ve never dated. We never will date. She’s happily married. All the “chemistry” read between us is born of a really, really close friendship.

I’m just… Tired. You want to ship them as gay and boning, fine. Knock yourself out. But, canonically they are ace. That is queer. That is representation, not baiting.
