Where’s the Good Omens Facebook meme?

When is someone going to create a meme for the Facebook Friend Anniversary for Aziraphale and Crowley???

“Aziraphlale and Crowley! On this Day, you’ve been friends for 6000 years. Look at all the good times you’ve had! (Cheesy polaroid frames of them doing stuff.) You’ve loved 207,273,77 posts!  (Likes from Adam You and Them etc.)

NICE!

I love how some of the scenes get better the more you watch them because you stop focusing on the plot and what they say and start to focus more on the technical decisions that were made.

Like when Crowley says ‘Even if this all ends up in burning goo we can go off together!’ the music swells and the camera zooms in on Aziraphale when he says ‘Go off together?’ And then it zooms in on Crowley again.

No wonder people compare it to a Rom-Com. It is literally shot like one.

So just finished episode 3 of Good Omens and here are some thought so far…

1) Holy heck Crowley and Aziraphale being acted by Tenant and Sheen are even better than I could have hoped for.

2) I now know how to pronounce both of their names, and I was doing it wrong the entire time I read the book

3) They are basically married and it’s the sweetest thing and they need to just live together and just be husbands already

4) Why does that demon have a chameleon on his head? Why?

5) God as a woman and black Adam and Eve was just so flipping natural and incidental and aweosme I don’t know why such a fuss was made of it (well I mean of course I know, but still, yikes.)

6) Also well bloody done for handling the tone in Jesus’ crucifixion scene. Like, their conversation against the horrific backdrop. The way comedy and genuine tragedy was bounced between with Jesus’ comical toned ‘ow!’ Then blended in with genuine agony and quiet terror without it going full torture-porn. And neither specifically confirming nor denying whether he was a Christ or just a dude trying to make people kind. Pleasantly surprised me

7) Crowley is genuinely terrifying in the houseplant scene and I love it

8) the show, for me, is already more enjoyable than the book. Like the book is a classic for a reason since Gaiman and Pratchett are both literary geniuses, but in their books I can often get a little adrift. Like there is something in the way their plot can get a bit meandering and ill defined when in the shadow of their stellar main characters - I found it in quite a few discworld novels and American gods. So having it on TV and making it easier to situate in scenes really helps a great deal and lets everything shine in a way that makes more sense. Also the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy style tone fits the spirit of their work so well and really comes across great on TV. I used to love the 70s (or early 80s?) version of the Tv show as a kid and I get such vibes with this. Snarky fun that feels very English in its sense of humour

9) Crowley’s various haircuts throughout history are endlessly amusing.

10) It bears repeating but the casting is so good you guys.

i like that the good omens show is more…complimentary to the book than anything else. like if someone asked me ‘which is better’ my honest response would be that they go together and you should really consume both. bc theyre like…a venn diagram. and theres obviously lots of stuff that overlaps, but its just such a different experience, and then ofc theres the stuff thats book only or show only, and its all quite interesting to compare or to put side to side

this doesnt rly make sense but. they go well Together and u should consume both pieces good omens good omens 2019
