my fam watches gomens

For me this is the 4th time watching Good Omens but for my mom and brother this is the first. So I’m taking notes on their first impression of it cause I’m very interested in how the Straights™ view this show, but I’m taking notes of everything tbh

I’ll be reblogging this post with the notes on every episode as we watch them. Oh and I’m tagging this with “my fam watches gomens” so block that if you don’t care ;)

Episode 1 - In The Beginning:

• My mom went “awww” when Aziraphale covered Crowley from the rain with his wing.
• They both felt sad about Baby B and want to know who raised him. (guess they gotta read the book now lol)
• My mom got all the references to The Sound of Music
• They think Aziraphale making the little “woah” sounds while doing magic is cute.
• They love Dog.
• My mom is really enjoying Queen.
• Mom finds Crowley’s walk hilarious.
• My brother loves the narration based jokes, like the blink bit between Mary Loquacious and Theresa.
• Mom loved Nanny Crowley.
• My brother likes it when they say “young Warlock” cause it reminds him of Merlin :’)

So like, here’s a question: how much do you have to know about Good Omens (book or show) to understand fanfic? Cos while I’d love to watch or read that costs money and the chemistry, pining, the pure, unadulterated, most base feeling of love between Aziraphale and Crowley is killing me just in gifsets alone
