my friend’s teacher kept saying ‘YOLO’ around the school and then people were like ‘why do u keep saying you only live once’ and he was like ‘oh is that what it means?? i thought it was a mix of ‘yo’ and hello’ and it was just a hip new greeting’
Pride month commemorates the 1969 Stonewall Riots, the event that sparked the modern LGBTQ rights movement. Today marks the 50th anniversary of Stonewall. Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, and Stormé DeLarverie were three key figures in the early LGBTQ movement and at the Stonewall Inn the night it all started in 1969. They dedicated their lives to working for the safety, inclusion, and rights of LGBTQ people.

As someone who went a catholic school, I never felt sad for Jesus. We did stations of the cross yearly and it doesnt mean much when your social teacher is walking around a gymnasium full of preteens. That being said when I watched the crucifixion scene it made me realise he was just a 33 year old man. He was tortured and hung on the cross to die in front of a crowd. That horrified me for the first time. I wanted to cry for him. I had never felt sympathy for him. Until I watched Good Omens.
Then we did what we set out to do with that scene. I’m glad.
