alright so what ive gathered from scrolling is that crowley just deadass took a nap for a century between 1862 and 1941 so i am of the personal opinion that he had no intention of waking up for a bit longer but during the blitz his ‘aziraphale is doing something stupid’ spidey-sense was tingling and he just kinda sat straight up in bed like frankenstein’s monster and went to rescue his dumbass angel

In the book and also in the script it’s actualy Crowley who brings the dove back to life, but they changed it during the shooting (why).

So, I couldn’t help myself and did the thing :)…

This is…such a simple fix to their staging problem.

I wish they’d done it.

The dead dove thing is important. I don’t know that Neil or Terry thought so, necessarily, but it’s been a fandom staple–part of Crowley’s easy goodness–for ages.
