Yet more David Tennant and Michael Sheen at the Good Omens Premiere in London (because they’re adorable together and I can’t get enough of them)
the best part about good omens is that when people overhear crowley calling aziraphale angel they’d all just assume it’s a cutesy pet name
Much Ado About Nothing is so wild because you’ll go from “I am an ass” to this layered critique of male/female relationships and expectations to a dick joke to threatening to kill a dude in like, the same scene
i’m rewatching the David Tennant and Catherine Tate version of “Much Ado About Nothing” and i’m barely even a minute in and already i’m staring at Catherine Tate and whoever is playing Hero bc they’re so??? hot??? i didn’t think i thought Catherine Tate was hot. i’m revising my opinion as we speak, she’s stunning, and also hilarious, i Love Her, i’m so gay
benedick is the only valid shakespearean man and he’s on thin fucking ice as it is

They come off more comfortable with each other, like a couple who have been married for decades or friends who have eroded most but not all of their boundaries. They’re less codependent. They still won’t admit to even being friends. It feels more balanced as a relationship although Aziraphale’s internal conflict still keeps him from acknowledging how much he likes Crowley until the end.
At the end too, Aziraphale doesn’t tell Crowley to come up with a plan, he comes up with one himself, even if the plan is more like “i have absolutely run out of fucks and i am probably going to die trying to defend the humans but it will be beside Crowley and the tire iron he found just now”
Aziraphale never really ends up in physical danger in the book, so Crowley never has to rescue him. Aziraphale is very protective of Crowley, having kneejerk reactions to perceived threats. Crowley tends to apologize whenever Aziraphale tells him off, although sometimes he appears to do things simply because he wants Aziraphale to tell him off.
This is probably kind of subjective though since everyone interprets things differently, although i feel like the book versions of Aziraphale and Crowley are much more in the middle in terms of morality, they’re both kind when they want to be and assholes when they want to be.
aziraphale: wow can’t believe i’m going to get discorporated by the french revolution because i can’t miracle myself out of here…sure wish SOMEBODY would come and SAVE ME because i can’t do it BY MYSELF…sure wish SOMEBODY with MAGIC POWERS could come GET ME OUT OF THIS MESS
crowley: angel, what the fuck
