*Somebody to Love playing in the background*
I looooove how crazy everyone is going for Good Omens. And all so wholesomely, and supportively, and excitedly, and almost child-like-ish-ly in our collective sincerity and pureness and happiness and joy.
It’s like Christmas, except for Armageddon.
@azfellandco I thought your tags were worth reblogging :) Hope you don’t mind.

English is fucking wild, kids
“You know that they’re supposed to be an odd couple, you know that I’m a bit fussy and a bit anal or whatever, and you’re a bit loose and a bit swaggery, and all that kind of stuff. But the specifics of that, you have to discover. And I remember in that table read, starting to discover those, and then they changed. I came in with sort of an idea and that idea went quite quickly. And you start to define yourself in terms of what the other person is doing.”
‘Brush up your English with Michael Sheen’, or that time when I read an interview about Good Omens and was starting to sweat nervously, because, come on, he didn’t confirm that, did he? And then, reluctantly went to look it up, and yup, there you go, there’s a second meaning. (From now on I’m going to drop the word in everyday conversation as often as possible, if only to measure from the level of shock in my counterpart’s facial expression how well educated they are.)
adjective
- ‘Anal is defined as someone who is really uptight or particular and who always wants things a certain way.’
- ‘An example of someone who is anal is a person who always lines up his socks by color and by level of wear, who perfectly folds them and puts them into specific boxes in his dresser and who insists on wearing them in a particular order.’

That’s weird. We gave them the translations, although we didn’t subtitle everything. I left the French untranslated because Aziraphale’s French was so rusty.

I’m so happy people are watching Good Omens more than once. We put so much into it, and it’s becoming apparent that people are going back again and again…
