Hey I have a question about spocks backstory
I have only seen Star Trek: Discovery. So my knowledge is limited.
But I read spock has a lot of previously unknown siblings as the series progressed. I think it’s funny but also concerning cause I just saw spock be like: “Hey Michael! So you are gone now. Me, mom, dad and everyone else agreed to never speak of you again, to protect you. Cause you did something sort of illegal we all helped you with. Now we all keep it a secret for the government.”
Like is this something that happens a lot? Does sarek just adopt a bunch of children and then many years later all of them except spock, his legitimate son, goes missing and everyone is like: Lets never speak of them again. To protect them.
??
Well, Michael is the second sibling, tbh. There’s not a lot of siblings, by definition, I guess.
The first, oldest, was kicked out of Vulcan for disregarding the teachings of logic, and is Sarek’s (but not Amanda’s) son. Uhh, Michael was adopted after… That whole mess. Spock is the only child between Sarek and Amanda.
I hope that helped???
Saavik is a Vulcan character who appears in the TOS movies. In the associated novels/comics, she is sort of adopted by Sarek and Amanda and is also revealed as half-Romulan. She’s much younger than Spock or Michael and probably wasn’t born yet when Spock left home.

Michael, you do not have to do this.
