That authors of WIPs would have one…just one…entry saying what happened next. Outline, notes, short paragraph, something! For god’s sake, you read a multi-chapter fic long enough to get invested, and then. It just stops. Sometimes, I’m guessing, the author set up a story that’s too complicated. Or they lost interest. Or real life interfered. “I just write for fun” doesn’t cut it. If I’m going to spend hours or days reading your fic and then you don’t finish it, you’ve stolen time I can’t get back.
There are at least four WIPs that I would actually pay good money to find out what happens. I trouble deaf heaven with my bootless cries, but my cries go unheard. This is why writers should nut up and at least tell us where they were going and/or where they ended up. I’d do the same for you.

I’m sure that eventually, maybe even before the TV series airs, someone who hates seeing fangirls having fun is going to get pissy and dig through David Tennant’s background to find something vaguely problematic they can use to tell everyone they’re a bad person for being excited about the TV series, so maybe if we can just get that out of the way now that would be convenient
@spanish speakers te amo feels weird to say??????
TE AMO! IS TOO! INTIMATE!! maybe if you say it quickly and in a jokey way its ok but in a serious talk??? it feels too much!!!!!!!
“i love you” is NOTHING compared to te amo. i love you feels like a kiss on the check and te amo feels like fucking marriage.
#I have like a whole thing on saying te amo to anyone
YEA. i had a relationship with someone and she dropped the “te amo” super quicky and i was like…………”thats ok, thank you, but im gonna be honest w you….i’m not saying te amo until i really feel it” thats how serious it is.

te amo IS very serious, very deep, very intimate. when you want to tell someone that you love them without it being massive, the term you want is te quiero

cant believe no one had contributed this

Accuarte AF.
“Te quiero” is the best alternative so we all do not succumb into a “te amo” anxiety.
I just found what I think is a dying great diving beetle in the middle of campus for some reason so I brought it back to my dorm and stuck it in my freezer
I’m gonna try to pin it but I have never pinned an insect before so this is not going to be pretty
but I gotta learn somehow
Thank you so much you all are saving my life. As a little update the beetle, besides a bit of guts coming out from the bottom of it, was in pretty good condition: wings and legs and head nicely intact. I put it in a cutout bottom of a plastic cup legs down but now the beetle is frozen to the bottom of the cup by its guts. Marvel at my professional 12am handiwork. I should have froze it upside down. Ahh the things we learn through trial and error.
This site (Purdue Entomology [link]) has some great info and tips for pinning and displaying all sorts of insects (use the table of contents over to the left of the page to navigate). When you start pinning with labels, there is a special pinning block with various heights that allows you to have the labels all exactly the right distance apart so you can read all the info from the drawer.

You know I’ve been joking around a lot but I really do mean it when I say that the bug side of tumblr is my favorite part of tumblr. Everyone has been so helpful, maybe it won’t turn out as bad as I think. Thank you!!!
Now im kinda curious…. could you pin a weevil or are thwy simply too small?
According to that site @nanonaturalist gave above, you can pin small insects, but you have to attach them to a card and then pin the card

ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE! You can buy those empty pill capsules, put your small insect in them, and then pin through the capsule. Bioquip sells the caps [link], but you can also buy them from the pharmacy for pretty cheap.

I use them to store my tiny caterpillar head capsules (when I don’t have them just laying around in a jar lid somewhere ugh).
If you use these things, make sure YOU DON’T GET THEM WET!!!!!! (they dissolve!!)

yeah i remember you suggesting this to me! i have a bunch of tiny stink bug nymph sheds stored in capsules, funnily enough, being held in a pill container because it was perfect for storing them clearly by instar!
i bought vegan capsules and my (vegetarian) dad was making fun of me for specifically buying the vegan instead of gelatin and storing dead animals in them and im like excuse me, the bug is doing fine, i just showed it to you!! >:(
