“Season 1 was so difficult to make we promised ourselves we were going to scale it back. We were going to make it more contained. And before long we scaled it so much bigger than last year. We learned absolutely nothing. It’s pure madness.” - Brian Taylor, exec producer for Happy! (x)

“We did it! We made season 2 for a show that shouldn’t have had a first season quite frankly. It’s mortifying.“ - Patton Oswalt

When an earlier BTS video showed Meloni and Oswalt recording dialogue, it wasn’t readily apparent whether this happened before or after Meloni shot his scenes. According to the latest BTS video, the dialogue is recorded before hand and Meloni and Oswalt will come up with ideas that then get added into the scenes.

And for the fight in the Nazi retirement home, they used semi-retired stuntmen.

BTW, if you follow the link above, some of the scenes they show have yet to air.

“Miles cleared his throat. “My mother’s theology, actually. … Her theory is that principles come and go, but that human souls are immortal, and you should therefore throw in your lot with the greater part. …” … Galeni shot him a suspicious glance. “Persons before principles, eh?” he said slowly at last.”
