People have been inquiring about the anime I’ve been posting gifs from lately. It’s Mahoutsukai Tai! (Magic User’s Club), specifically the original OVA version from 1996. It’s one of my favorite anime from that period, with cute characters, great animation and a really out-there premise (teenage magic users investigate benign alien invaders in a romantic comedy setting). It has playful fan service and some surprisingly touching emotional moments, plus an all-star staff (Junichi Sato, Ikuko Itoh, Chiaki Konaka and Mahiro Maeda to name a few). I highly recommend it!
