ineffable-bisexual asked:
human au, crowley proposing to aziraphale at the park, the pair seated at their favorite bench late at night with the street lights glowing, moon reflecting off of the lake. and crowley with some eye condition / deformity / sensitivity, he’s uncomfortable with his eyes but, knowing that aziraphale likes them, removes his sunglasses when he kneels to propose … showcasing that vulnerability that he has only ever given aziraphale … in what is already a very emotionally vulnerable moment. and aziraphale goes to ask what he’s doing, but the intensity and vulnerability of crowley’s gaze puts him at a lack for words. all he manages to croak out is some concerned, ”crowley—?”
crowley’s proposal is ultimately met with a very quiet, breathy “yes, of course, always,” and his hand shakes as he moves to place the ring onto aziraphale’s finger. in the distance, a nightingale sings.
it is the evening of May 31st. people are congregating, murmuring in astonishment. there is a corpse on the lawn. it is not recognizable. it is charred, as if it somehow spontaneously combusted. it is curled around a laptop. the credits of Good Omens are still playing.
they make the call. my husband is dubious until he hears about the laptop.
oh, yep, he says. that’s her.
Y e s . I approve.

Honestly Spock’s actions in “Mirror, Mirror” make a lot more sense in light of Michael probably telling him about the MU. Generally, someone’s first thought when their boyfriend is acting strange is not “what if he’s been replaced by his doppelgänger from a different universe?”
