I get up from painting to go and address my project in my kitchen window and my mother calls

“Hey, I’m at the store, what are you doing?”

“At this second? Smearing zit cream on a My Little Pony head that has been separated from its body.”

“… alright! So here’s the stuff I found on sale for you…”

Miss Honey was made principal of Crunchem Hall, which had to add an upper school because children never wanted to leave. And Matilda found, to her great surprise, that life could be fun, and she decided to have as much of it as possible. After all, she was a very smart kid. But the happiest part of the story is that Matilda and Miss Honey each got what they’d always wanted: a loving family.

QUESTION TO PEOPLE WHO LIKE BOOKBINDING AND MAKING THEIR OWN JOURNALS

I’m a school librarian and I’ve weeded a ton of books that are either too outdated to be useful anymore, too damaged to repair, or so old that they contain inappropriate language. These are the ones I can’t give away to students/teachers.

Instead of letting them rot in a landfill, I’m recycling them so they can be new books. So far, there’s only one recycling center in my area that’ll take book pages. I’m left with the covers.

Would anyone be interested in purchasing the old binder’s board from the books? They are in mostly good condition with the usual wear and tear of library usage, and I’m thinking of selling them at $2 per front & back cover or per intact cover.

The proceeds from this will be used to help kids from low-income households buy books at next year’s book fair.

bookbinding bujo journaling books I have way too many of these things and I'm not allowed to ask for local donations for the Fair anymore and dammit I want these kids to have books!
