Cerberus, the 3-headed dog prop from Spirit Halloween.
The most unrealistic part of Buffy is how on point so many vampires managed to look without being able to use a mirror. Like Harmony, she had just become a vampire, how did she have time to learn to make her hair and makeup so perf without a mirror? How did Spike and Angel gel their hair just so? Biggest plot hole of the whole universe tbh
For the boys, at least, I think it’s a combination of low maintenance styling and experience. Spike’s aesthetic goal seems to be Eliminate Curls At Any Cost and probably can get by with a touch-test (”is my hair as aerodynamic as it can be?”). After on/off bleaching his hair for twenty five years, he likely knows exactly how long until his roots are visible again. It’s not the best look (embrace your curls, fool!), but seems easy to accomplish.
And Angel, well, I’ve discussed before the hilarity of him consistently styling his hair without actually knowing the result.

Angel: [My hair] is because of going through the portal, right?
Cordelia: No. It always looks like that.
After Whistler found him on the streets, I’m guessing he took him to a stylist, who proceeded to Luke Perry the crap out of his hair, and he just kept the style without knowing what it looked it. Which I feel is an approach to much of Angel’s aesthetic choices; only blind ignorance can explain the Amends mustache.
The makeup though, I have no goddamn idea. Maybe that’s why Harmony had minions, to make her look fabulous?

i can love fictional characters despite not liking every aspect of how they were written, and i will love fictional characters despite the flaws in their creation being dealbreakers for other people, and no one can stop me from loving the shit out of the fictional characters that i choose to love and often will actually love harder in the face of opposition

Thanks, I want to draw all the redesigns more! Just need some more of that copious spare time, eh?
I wanted to make the Cardassians large in part because:
1. I wanted a range of sizes for the redesigns (still way smaller than Klingon)
2. DS9 is their station, so if they were tiny they probably wouldn’t have built it as able to accommodate larger species (and I love the idea of the humans always being a bit smaller than who the controls etc were ostensibly for)
3. In “Empok Nor” they’re terrified of, like, two Cardassian soldiers. And I was like, well, what if that were legit instead of feeling like a stupid budget restraint? Because they’re genuinely terrifying? Giant crocodile people with vicious teeth and claws?
4. It’s funny for Garak to do his “lil ol me” thing if he’s goddamn massive.
5. Small Enemy is sort of overplayed at this point, I like a Dukat who does get to look down on other people figuratively and literally.
