Does anyone else love bad weather? Like the kind that’s loud and dark and draws attention to its self like pounding rain drops and thunder and lightning that seems just so close. And you can sit near a window and it’s dark outside and maybe you’ve got a candle lit or a lamp and it’s so warm inside and you’re wearing you’re favourite sweater and watching a good show or reading a good book and it’s beautiful outside the rain and the clouds and the sound of it all and you’re just so content and cosy and happy

There is one Robin in the yard that knows that I bring the food. Each morning when I go out to prepare the feeders, the Robin suddenly jumps next to me, flicks with the tail and makes that cute little noise. I keep the mealies under lock at the moment, but I always carry a few for him. Wer have a little back and forth where he is watching me closely and I am throwing him a couple of worms. Then he rishes in to gobble them up. There are several Robins around right now, but I think the one in the photos is the one I am talking about. I am excited to see where they nest this year.

Make Your Fountain Pens Happy

Make Your Fountain Pens Happy

image

Fountain pens can be finicky, troublesome, evil tools – or not. It only takes a few simple tips to make that “or not” into a reality.

  • For ease of care, choose inks that are medium or lighter in color saturation or intensity. They are less likely to solidify and clog your pen.
  • When using deep, intense colors, clean your pen often and use it regularly. Both actions will keep a pen functioning well.
