Are just the casual little moments where Sisko and friends are up to shenanigans on the station.
It’s basically just the Office on a space station.
O'Brien’s baby won’t go to sleep so he takes him with him to work and ends up leaving him in a power conduit, hilarity ensues when his boss finds out.
Quark deals with a worker strike and gets his business license revoked. He loses everything. His friends band together and bring in chairs and drinks and show the greedy old cynic that maybe friendship IS better than material gain. Sometimes.
The captain’s son and his best friend move in together for the first time. One is too messy. The other is too strict and orderly. They fight, move out, then realize they care about each other too much. And they move back in together and agree to a controlled mess.
Quark complains about how noisy his rival Odo, who lives above him, is. Kira comments on how lucky it is that odo’s quarters are right above quark’s. Odo deviously states that luck had nothing to do with it.
All these scenarios deserve a little comedy sting sound.
They’re all hilarious and build on preexisting character relationships to create an atmosphere of humor even between the darker moments of the show.
So not only are the dark and gritty episodes invigoratingly exciting.
But its lighter moments will remind you that deep space nine is more than a show. It’s a home away from home.
Y'all fucking weebs are missing something great here and it breaks my heart that you’ll never know true artistry cuz you’re too obsessed with those big floppy anime tiddies.
