Anonymous asked:

How do you think Thor would dress in modern times?

answered:

He’d probably have like four super durable shirts that all look the same so no one can ever tell if he changes clothes or not. He does, and he washes them himself, he just likes to keep a stupid, strange and timeless fashion.
(He’s learned it from his hobo father and weird step-family-member cousin-uncle.)

He’d also have a winter jacket and some extremely heavy-duty sheep/goat wool mix jumpers (all identical from each other) for colder weather. Hiking boots and outdoor pants. A lot of woolly socks and mittens.

A fluffy winter hat with ear flaps, you know the type, can be tied together under the chin to prevent falling off while trot/sled racing or something.

It’s December tomorrow, and Thor’s got his winter clothes ready. I really wanted to draw something wintery, but mostly it’s just cold winds and slippery puddles of half-melted sleet right now. This is the weather on the Polar Circle.

I think Skadi’s not been feeling well lately if Njörd’s still blowing his winds and rains in her stead.
And no wonder - where the overall global warming is at about + 1,5 degrees Celsius right now, in the Arctic regions it’s already nearing around + 4 degrees Celsius to old year averages.

Here’s to hoping that a friend’s fear doesn’t come true: a local Laplander, he told me today that this is the first time in 20 years he’s actually afraid that there will be no snow by the holidays.
