Dont compare yourself or your illness to them, every illness affects every person differently.

The opening to The Last Unicorn. 

I saw this when I was three years old when it left a incredibly deep imprint that has never gone away.  Maybe at three I hadn’t yet seen an animated movie that had mixed melancholy and triumph in its themeing, and so was thus more deeply affected than I might have otherwise been, but the song (and the movie, let’s be real) still feels like it sings right through me to this day.
