Party chat in Dragon Quest IV is great for characterization and world building. In Chapter 2 alone, it shows us that:
*Zamoksva rules the entire continent it’s on, and it is a peaceful nation.
*Zamoksva enjoys good relations with Endor, for Tsar Stepan and King Norman are good friends.
*Endor is implied by Borya to have many enemies, hence why it’s heavily guarded.
*Kiryl began his priesthood in Zalenagrad.
*Kiryl is a timid man afraid of heights.
*Kiryl bemoans the fact that priests cannot get married nor gamble.
*Kiryl is also humble, and frequently mentions his social class, such as when he said he is not worthy to meet the king of Endor.
*Borya is quite the nationalist, constantly praising Zamoksva and comparing it to other places.
*Borya does not think highly of poets and seems to prefer upper-class company.
