This just reminds me of one of the best moments in…I think it’s Unity? It’s one of the DS9 novels in that group, but there’s a point where Nog and Jake find Bashir reading in the replimat and ask him what he’s reading.

“A letter from a friend.”

And Nog glances, and is like “you’re on page 148 of a letter?”

“It’s from Garak.”
