Gumshoe is just holding any evidence they find as Edgeworth is staring very intently at it and Gumshoe eagerly turns it around whenever Edgeworth motions with a finger to turn it in some direction, and he’s constantly saying “did you find something, sir?” with the biggest grin on his face

i was thinking about adding a disclaimer about how i dont think ‘flight’ responses are a weakness but i’m rescinding it before i even say it because the thing is that in edgeworth’s case especially it WAS a weakness. it was his biggest weakness. it’s GOOD to have a flight response and it’s natural and the purpose of it is to keep you safe but at the same time if you can’t keep it in check you can’t live your life. one of edgeworth’s obvious weak points is being caught off guard because he’ll panic (best example of this is turnabout sisters, with how much he prepares so things will go “perfectly” and how upset he is when phoenix pokes a hole in them, and later with him trying to buy time for himself over and over during the second day). you don’t live with the belief you murdered your father for fifteen years without becoming numb to fear.

Edgeworth wasn’t going to be part of the family photo at first, but Phoenix insisted. After all, Edgeworth was baby Gregory’s godparent (or, as Edgeworth preferred to say, “The Appointed Legal Guardian” should anything happen to Phoenix), and gave Phoenix and Maya his blessing to name their son after his late father. Little did Edgeworth know, it was his first photo as part of his new, strange family, where he and Phoenix wind end up raising Gregory together. Gregory was first male Fey born in generations, and Maya wanted him to live with Phoenix in the city once he got a little older to have a better life outside of Kurain Village.

I would think Kurain Village would have a similar ceremony to Miyamairi (宮参り) for newborns, and I thought a family portrait would be really cute and fun to draw. Gregory Wright is one of my AA ocs.
