They use their tongues to retrieve honey, bees, and bee larvae from beehives. They also use them to get termites and other insects from trees.

Gorillas are gentle giants and the silverback of the troupe usually does play a part in parenting since his presence means safety and food for the group youngsters feel safe around him and in the case the mother dies or is unable to care for the youngster, the silverback will take care of the infant. Take notes, greasy dudes who call themselves “alphas” 🙄
