it probably does take more energy for you to digest a medium rare steak than a well-done steak, but the difference doesn’t really matter because you also didn’t burn any calories chasing down and murdering the cow yourself!

besides, long slow-roasted meat like pot roast is probably even more energy dense than steak due to how much time the connective fibers in the meat have been given to break down from the heat of cooking.

if you’re really concerned about getting the most nutritionally-available dinner possible, order some barbecue!

the non-inheriting daughters will strike out on their own to establish their own territory and build their own tunnel networks! the frogs are endemic to the entire area that the tarantulas live in, so they just kind of show up when they see a new tarantula burrow like “oh hello can I live here?” and it goes from there
