My favorite thing about Chief O'Brien is he's absolutely Not. Just some guy. Like not even a little. He's the reason this station is up and running he fixes every problem and is very intelligent but he doesn't want to be distinguished Starfleet Officer man. He just wants to be some guy. He went to DS9 bc he knew no one would care if he excelled there, he could be properly challenged and prevent the station from blowing up all while clocking out at 5pm and going home to his beautiful wife and children except for his weekly boys night with Julian. His universe said oh a man of your talents could definitely go down in history and he said "🤚absolutely not ✋ I'm gonna use my self-sealing stembolts to stop my silly little warp core breaches, get paid, raise my family, and then die. That's it." And that's so valid of him.

This looks really good. Basically, they embedded enzymes in the plastic that help it continually breakdown.

Actually compostable plastic would be a game changer.

Honestly, if you’re like me, you’re keenly aware of how much plastic waste we create despite our best efforts to limit it. Imagine being able to just toss that in a mid-sized compost and have it fully compost and join rejoin the lifecycle. what a dream. really hope this works out.

“I was too afraid to clean it there because I could see how delicate it was. I took the brooch home and gave it a gentle wash and the turquoise emerald revealed itself.

"I’ve stumbled across silver brooches in a similar style before, which is rare in itself, but I’ve never seen anything like this. To find one made of gold and with such a beautiful stone is really special. There are four turrets which all would have contained stones.”

Julian Evan-Hart, an expert in rare treasure and editor of Treasure Hunting magazine, said there was “nothing else” to compare the exceptionally unique artefact to.

He said: “This is an absolutely stunning piece of jewellery which I have no doubt was worn by a duke or an earl - perhaps somebody with a military connection because of the sword-shaped pin. It would have been illegal for the lower classes to carry such fine gold.”

Releasing this dream out into the wild because it was very cute and I think you'll like it

A bunch of cicadas were close to metamorphosis, and the year before they were due their friend the mole cricket would go up to the surface and tell them about things they were going to experience soon, like rose petals and tree bark and the sun on their backs. And when they all became adults (all 600 of them!) they saw that the mole cricket was quite blind. So they all (all 600 of them!) flew around the abandoned gardens they'd grown up under and picked one thing (roses, the sun, tree bark, etc.) to tell her about.
