one thing I’ve noticed while running an online shop is that Americans never include their country when writing their address.
I don’t mean when filling in online forms, bc that’s obviously a required element. but when emailing me for address changes for orders, they never include a country in the updated address. but I always know the country is the United States of America because literally nobody else around the world would do that.
Seriously? Why would you include it though? It’s extraneous information like ofc its the us
there are 195 countries in the world
But we also always have to include our states, which if you get confused what country “California” is in, that’s kind of on you.
If you get confused what country “Hessen” is in, that’s kind of on you.
If you get confused what country “Karnataka” is in, that’s kind of on you.
If you get confused what country “Kärnten” is in, that’s kind of on you.
If you get confused what country “Bahia” is in, that’s kind of on you.
If you get confused what country “Manitoba” is in, that’s kind of on you.
If you get confused what country “Colima” is in, that’s kind of on you.
… yeah, checks out /j

So do you reckon Murderbot writes Sanctuary Moon fanfic?
I think it does. I think it started off with a plot twist somewhere in S6 that just made no fucking sense and annoyed Murderbot enough for it to write its own take on how that could’ve been handled in a logical way where everyone stayed in character and it built on the foreshadowing from S5.
And then Ratthi persuaded it to post it on the PresAux Internet. And Murderbot spent the next few hours obsessively refreshing the feed to see if anyone had left comments considered taking it down because what if the humans in the fandom don’t like it, considered taking it down because what if the humans in the fandom do like it, and then the kudos count started ticking up…

Hi Neil ❤️
Have you ever been so upset about something that you stopped writing? what happened?
No.
But I’ve been so upset about something that I started writing. Does that help?

Hello! :) Just wondering, why is there so little official Good Omens merchandise out there? I know it probably wasn't your decision, but is there a specific reason, and do you think we could hope for more of it after season 2?
I don’t know. I’ve been incredibly disappointed in the BBC for their inability to get any merchandise to happen for Season 1. It remains to be seen whether I get to be just as disappointed in Amazon for merchandise for Season 2. I’d like lots of happy people with their Bentleys and Good Omens Monopoly sets (or whatever it is they happen to want). Instead I get told there is no demand for Merchandise, and occasionally complaints about the amount of illicit Good Omens merchandise available on Amazon, with no real awareness that the two statements might possibly be inconsistent. I hope there will be lots of merchandise in the future, but I don’t control the rights or what happens.
azriacrow asked:
Hello Neil, I do hope you're doing well.
Just a quick question here:
Is there a particular reason that Aziraphale never changes his hair style but Crowley does constantly?
(Just asking because I've been rewatching recently so I've just noticed random things/details)
There is, yes. Crowley likes hairstyles. Aziraphale is perfectly satisfied with his hair.
babysbreath asked:
hello! i was wondering if you knew that a lot of us kids who read and/or watched coraline, thought that it was a dream. i thought i had dreamt the whole story up and then i discovered that others had the same experience too. was this an intended effect or are you surprised to hear that?
I’m surprised to hear it.

I shan’t muck around: some friends and I are trying to decide if Good Omens S2 will include reference to COVID-19. I would guess avoiding it is easiest for obvious reason; but does that mean the Lockdown phone call isn’t canon? You have absolute forgiveness if you ‘wait and see’ me, since an answer might spoil the chronology...
It’s set in 2023. And there have definitely been lockdowns. There are a lot of tourists and people in Soho, some of whom wear face-masks and most of whom don’t.
