piraticaljedigirl asked:

I'm curious whether there are any backup fennec foxes on hand, in case some of them need a nap or are being otherwise uncooperative, or do you use David Tennant as a stand-in for the foxes in that case?

That’s where Raoul comes in. Mostly he’s napping in the green room, but whenever the foxes are out of sorts he’ll pop on the dark glasses and saunter around a bit for us, until the foxes are feeling up to acting.

David, we just keep in reserve in case we need to burn anything.

Dear Mr Asquith: I made this 34,340-stitch needlepoint in honor of GO2. When I gaze upon it, I feel joyful. Someday, I hope to gaze upon the series itself with the same feeling. I trust you to take great care with your wonderful work, because you are a professional. So I'm not asking anything about it. I'm simply grateful. Thank you, and thank you also for the inspiration to create fun and joyful things.

That’s amazing.

Hello,

Mr. Gaiman, would you be interested in sharing an abbreviated list of a few hypothetical questions regarding S2 of Good Omens, to which the answer is NOT 'wait and see.'?

Sincerely,

-person who is a huge fan of American Gods, and is wildly amused as a spectator of the hubbub regarding Good Omens S2

1) Are you shooting Good Omens 2?

2) Are the things you’ve said about the plot on your website’s blog or on Instagram true?

3) Are there going to be sequences set in the past?

4) Are David Tennant, Michael Sheen, and the rest of the actors who have been announced as being in GO2 actually going to be in it?

5) Are there ducks?

mizmak asked:

Dear Mr. Gaiman, can you please tell me, in Good Omens the bar scene when Aziraphale tells Crowley about Tadfield, why Crowley's initial reply is, "I'm not going there"? Thank you kindly!

AZIRAPHALE

World ending. That’s where it’s all going to happen. Quite soon now. I’ll head there too. I just need to find a receptive body. Harder than you’d think.

CROWLEY

(sotto voce)

Not going to go there…

Yes. He’s talking about where he’s not going in the conversation, not that he’s not going to Tadfield.

Riddle me this, Mr. Gaiman:

Do Aziraphale and Crowley have belly buttons?

I’m not even sure if they really have body parts in the way we understand it. They have body-shaped things they use on Earth to get around in, and those things can be damaged or even rendered unusable and needing to be replaced (this normally involves paperwork). I’m sure they can manifest bellybuttons when they remember to have them, if they ever need them. I can’t quite imagine either of them at the beach, in bathing suits that would reveal their midriffs, but if they did they’d probably have bellybuttons, because everyone else would have them too.

hellcatlizzie asked:

This is more of a thank you than an ask.

My husband is autistic and one of his traits is he has very low level of imagination. He struggled reading unless it was something familiar as he could never imagine anything outside what he knew. For example he could read Rebus books as he knows Edinburgh or star wars books because he knows the world's and characters.

He listens to audible as he is a driver, he had been looking for suggestions and knowing my love of your work checked out some bits on audible. He managed American God's and good omens due to the shows. He really wanted to try others but didn't want to struggle.

The absolute delight he had listening to Neverwhere was unbelievable. He rushed home to tell me he could 'see it' for the first time in his life (aged 33) he was able to imagine the scenes and people and I've never seen his face light up like that since we had our son. It was like when I was seven and first got into reading.

He's just finished sandman and stopped on route to message me about how amazing it was.

Essentially you sir have managed to somehow unlock his imagination and I could never thank you enough.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I never thought I would see him as excited as I get for a new book to read :)

That’s marvellous! I’m thrilled. Please pass on my joy in his joy to him.

brainlesscorvid asked:

Hello Mr Gaiman

Not to be annoying but I was wondering if you had any idea what Aziraphale and Crowley might say to someone who’s struggling to keep going on in life? I imagine since they put so much effort into saving the world that they’d like me to stay in it, but I’m not 100% sure. You and the two ineffable idiots (affectionate) along with the rest of your characters have been really lovely to have around while I try to get through everything but it’s been so hard. If you have the time, advice from any of you would be cherished greatly.

I think they’d both explain why you ought to stick around. Aziraphale would tell you something very similar to Stephen Fry’s Letter at https://lettersofnote.com/2009/10/08/it-will-be-sunny-one-day/ (Have you read it? You should read it.) Crowley on the other hand would just tell you succinctly that permanent solutions to temporary problems are what got people into this mess in the first place.

Like them, I hope you stick around. Also, if you don’t you’ll miss the next 6 episodes and there’s such good stuff in there. It’s worth hanging around for.
