I don’t know why, but the little cardboard William Shatner leaning on the monitor cracks me up.

“Unlike games, it has a real computer keyboard…”

That was the idea. I wanted to capture what made the William Shatner VIC-20 commercials awesome.

mythosandsuch asked:

Hi Mr Gaiman! I keep seeing a lot of asks about David Tennant, who is amazing and I also love, but not very many about Michael Sheen, who's one of my all time favorite actors. Do you have any stories about him on set of GO? What's your favorite thing about working with him? Thanks!!

neil-gaiman answered:

Michael’s been my friend since 2010. He’s one of the nicest men in the world, and one of the finest actors I’ve ever worked with. Most of my stories about Michael on set are about performance things he does, where he finds a moment in a performance to make it richer and deeper and more moving and funnier than I could ever have imagined when I wrote it. In a weird way I often get to see Michael more when we aren’t making Good Omens – we meet for dinner or have long Zooms or Marco Polos or just generally catch up. When Good Omens is happening we’re both just going flat out in our respective jobs trying to make Good Omens.

He is a good person who tries hard to make the world a better place, which was why I wanted to cast him as Aziraphale. I knew the goodness would shine.

Seeing Michael and David acting for the first time together in Season 2 as Crowley and Aziraphale was incredibly moving. I’d spent time with David and Michael already. But suddenly there were these other two people I hadn’t seen for four years, crossing the street to get to the bookshop. And it was magic.

azriacrow asked:

Dear Mr Gaiman

I just need to know is Aziraphale safe and happy in season 2?

Considering you won't set Michael on fire it does mean he's safe from hell fire. So he just has to be safe from everything else

For now, why don’t you assume that Aziraphale is going to be safe and happy all the way from the end of Season 1 until the very beginning of Season 2. And that won’t start for ages yet. And after that, well, we can wait and see.
