hey bunjy this is for the other anon asking about komodo dragon is venomous or not, I'm from Indonesia I've seen one before and well I'm not entirely sure if this true or it's just some rumour to keep people away from the komodo dragon but as far as I know their saliva is poisonous? but please take this with a grain of salt

another problem with with figuring out the nature of komodo dragon saliva is that it’s CHOCK FULL of deadly pathogens, meaning that if you get bit by one and get real sick it’s hard to prove whether it was venom that did the job, or a really nasty bacteria!

(either way though the effect is the same- komodo dragon saliva will absolutely fuck you up if it gets into an open wound so it might as well be poisonous as far as your-limbs-turn-black-and-fall-off potential goes. steer clear!)

This is a clip from Orangutan School, a show by the Smithsonian documenting how young orangutans are taught to survive in the wild. Orangutans are orphaned depressingly often- they would live for 10+ years with their mother to learn necessary survival skills and without her, they stand a small chance of making it to maturity. Orangutan School is a rehabilitation center focused on teaching the youngsters vital skills. The humans interacting with the apes are appropriately trained professionals, do not attempt to feed or touch wildlife.

And it has a search function so you can enter key words for whatever you want to see. Right now I’m looking for fucked up illustrations of the apocalypse in Revelations, like so;

my college boyfriend contacted me after 15 years to apologize for the trauma and pain he caused back in the day and I’m so astonished to have someone apologize to me this way

not a word asking for forgiveness, just acknowledgement of having done wrong, what he’s learned, in therapy and from self reflection what he knows he’ll always be responsible for, and hopes for a peaceful time for me

I’m astonished. I don’t think anyone has ever apologized to me like that, let alone someone responsible for a big trauma thing.

I’m amazed.
