Off topic but why do you always use :) for everything

Hiya! :). Well, because I’m old :D. Back then before social media and google and so, instant messaging (and discussion forums) was The Thing. In the instant messaging (ICQ was popular back then in the czech republic, like 2004 or so) when you wrote one of these (and more) :-), ;-),:-D, :-P,O:-),>:o it translated the emoticon into an emoji and it helped greatly to set the tone of the conversation because sentences can be taken differently if only text is there. Even on discussion forums where it stayed the emoticons. Emojis are still used but there are so many now that you usually pick one from the selection or to copy them? I’m not sure how many people now are used to only write them (somewhere where they translate, or not) but I grew up like that, peppering the text with smile emoticons :). Not going to stop, without them the text doesn’t to me say what I want to say in which tone :).

When is it sexist? - A Handy Chart

tovakiin

My favorite moment when playing FFXIV for the first time was seeing the men in the same ridiculous subligars as the women.

World of Warcraft

Dark Souls

Final Fantasy XIV

theenigmatic-me

Seriously, Dark Souls is so good about this, I accidentally became female and didn’t even know about it until I was changing my gear.

dracophile

Sorry, that last bit is funny to me because I’m just imagining this knight changing and looking at a pair of breasts like “…Those are new.”
