You know when people ask Egyptologists why they kinda stop the periods of Egypt they learn with the Late Period/Early Hellenistic, and then try to pretend Roman Egypt doesn't exist? It's because Roman Egypt is like this, and it needs a Roman historian to tell you what they're doing because none of it's recognisable to us.
Is any of this in previous periods of Egypt? No.
Can I be of use here in explaining what's happening? No.
