star trek and particularly star trek next gen and its offspring are very good at picking talented actors and then giving them characters whose personal energy simply has nothing to do with their own, and it results in the funniest possible characterizations ive ever seen. riker is the fucking travis mcelroy of star treks. he’s supposed to be the sexual behemoth of star treks but he cannot escape the overwhelming frakesness of himself and he never once manages to convince me that he is sexy. he’s a band nerd playing a handsome main character in a musical and that’s exactly who he is and will ever be. or like rios my best friend rios from picard, whose job is to be the grouchy misanthrope of the piece but who is played by santiago cabrera, a man who oozes such genuine winking charisma that he can’t convincingly be the designated grump. he’s a very good actor and he gets to play around a lot in this show and i really enjoy it, but he’s just not a jaded ace pilot in the same way that tom paris isn’t a jaded ace pilot, but for opposite reasons. cris rios is the nicest popular boy in school and tom paris is a CPA that larps

UNDERTALE 2nd Anniversary and ALARM CLOCK Development

Well, it has been two years now.

I would like to announce that we have started working on the UNDERTALE ALARM CLOCK APP FOR IPHONE/ANDROID. Me and my friend Chess are working on it in our spare time.

Basically, it’s a barely-functioning Alarm Clock app, where a few of the characters from UNDERTALE will set your alarm for you.  (Actually, I highly discourage using it as an Alarm Clock, and take no responsibility for what happens if you do.)

However… it’s not only an Alarm Clock! You can interact with these characters in some simple ways and read a little bit of dialogue from them. This dialogue is pretty similar to the Q&A in terms of tone: Not very important, but pretty fun.

Since it’s just a minor project, development is really slow. There’s no specific release date. I’d say “hopefully 2018,” but if it ends up taking way longer, it wouldn’t be too shocking. No idea on pricing either…

Because there’s no Q&A this year, I’ll leave you with some snippets of character dialogue from the project behind the cut. Hopefully you can figure out which character is which…!

aceraphale asked:

hello mr gaiman and happy halloween! as a very involved showrunner (and having done both), which way of filming is your preferred one for gomens? in a controlled studio or on location? :)

I’m loving shooting our Soho set in an indoors studio, rather than built outdoors on an abandoned airfield. Rain doesn’t make people miserable, snow blizzards don’t stop us from shooting, people aren’t cold and grumpy, we don’t have to hang lights from helium balloons to simulate daylight in midwinter.

But then, there’s often something fun about locations. You are somewhere real, and watching the amazing machine that’s a TV series in operation. Trailers arrive. Background actors get costumed. Magic happens…

Here. Have a few photos from St James’s Park, in September 2017.

What I love about the X-men comics are the artists using color to convey the tone of a scene. Storm's obviously in a back alley, the blue darkness lit by the neon pink business sign tell us the perps do not notice her, while Storm is shrouded in a black silhouette. Thiw screams "Storm's about to kick ass and these villains aren't ready."
