favorite things as a writer:

• when everyone fixates on the same line/section of the chapter because you know that means it was really powerful
• when everyone points out a different part/line as their favorite because that means they are all finding meaning and value in parts of the story that speak to them which is no less important than finding meaning in the one big emotional moment of the chapter

Yeah, I saw.

Just seems like another one of those times where there are millions of larger functional issues that people are asking about but rather than address any of those Tumblr does what Tumblr does, and pulls out the equivalent of that time that they had a million things broken and decided to do nothing but put rounded edges on the envelope for the ask box icon.

Cool, I guess. It’ll be nice to scroll through just to the reblogs and replies, but this wasn’t a feature I was hurting for or anything.

actually the literal translation should be sth like "what a horse is, anyone can see". this sentence was so iconic we use to this day when we say sth doesn't need explanation bc it's common knowledge or obvious bc of some other reason.

(also I LOVE that just above the horse definition there is a one for the unicorn ❤)
