Genuine question, not bait. In your personal experience, or based on knowledge from working in the industry, do you think cows can experience trauma? Like having fear responses to things based on past experiences?

I know that a lot of other mammals have shown signs of trauma (especially in abused cats and dogs) but are cows capable of the long-term thinking necessary for that? Or do they truly live 100% in the moment?

I think all mammals are susceptible to conditioning which is all trauma responses are at the end of the day. If they have a negative association they’ll avoid it.
