My delegating MD almost fired me for not prescribing a Z-pack to a patient for a viral illness, because, “that is a large family and if we don’t give them what why want, they’ll go to our competitors , and we’ll lose them as patients.” Needless to say, my delegating MD prescribed the Z-pack and I no longer work with him. That wasn’t the only reason I no longer work there.
