I’ve been stuck outside in 0F temperatures before and when there’s no wind I was barely bothered. But once (I was 12, not sure what difference that makes) when the wind picked up (30-50mph) and I was stuck outside for an hour I found myself stumbling and my thoughts starting to repeat and play on a loop.

I live near the Rockies and the day I flew home for winter break it was -18F during the day (-30 with windchill). So you could probably make it a lot lower if you need to without it being unrealistic.
