A good place to start are two best known novels “the invention of Hugo cabret” (like the movie) and “wonderstruck” (also like the movie). It’s formatted more like an illustrated novel than a typical comic, but it’s so beautiful you won’t care. These books are works of art.

There are a bunch of tie-in comics for cartoons that might be good if she’s into the cartoons associated with them (Adventure time, Steven Universe, etc.) Things like One Piece are “for boys” but are actually kind of incredibly heartwarming in a lot of ways - might be a little old for a seven year old though.
