This is not “demonization” of mentally illness. Mental illnesses are rampant and unaddressed, and CAN cause one to be a mentally unstable parent. I happen to be a survivor of a mentally unstable, mentally ill parent, who abused, neglected, and gaslit me throughout my life from infancy to adulthood: simple facts.
