But picking a favorite episode is so hard, because there are different flavors to them! There are the funny episodes, the dark standalone episodes, and the epic ones which move the major plot forward. But id I'm forced to pick one... maybe The Wire or Our Man Bashir. Or Past Tense I and II. Far Beyond The Stars was also magnificent. D: (You are evil)

I am evil, aren’t I.

The Wire is hard to beat. I have a soft spot for Duet (apparently I like to cry?) and The Ascent (because Odo & Quark are so completely enjoyable together).

Have you been a niner since way back or are you one of the lucky ones who’s just watching it now for the first time?

My favorite character? Oh God, do I have to pick just one?! I love Garak and Julian the most, but I also adore Chakotay, Tom Paris, Ben Sisko, Odo, Seven of Nine, Worf, Data... you see what I mean? They all are so well-rounded and wonderful characters. D: (And Dukat is maybe the best villain in any TV series. His descent into madness is just so great.) (Oops I got a bit carried away)

Is there such a thing when it comes to geekery? :)

Garak and Julian are just lovely. Odo is another favourite for me.

The EMH owns Voyager. I never did watch long enough to see much of Seven, but I hear she’s pretty cool!

And another Data fan - excellent!

It is so much fun to watch them all dance for our entertainment, isn’t it?

Okay - now you have to pick a favourite DS9 episode!

Garak. Elim. Can we talk?

Can you perhaps not bring the sexy quite so much? It makes it hard to follow the storyline when I keep having to stop and screenshot. That’s all I’m saying. I’m sure we understand each other.

(Also, mad props to the flying hair! I love it when his hair moves! I have so many shots of just his hair!)

seriously fucking loved like every second of him in this episode

shooting things makes my love for Homicidal!Garak flare up every time

He is rather arresting, isn’t he?

I love the idea that by Cardassian standards, he’s not particularly attractive. He’s just this dumpy little tailor with whom you do not fuck.

imageladyyatexel replied to your post: Describing Cardassians tho Eye ridges? Orbital…

I’ve seen ‘eye’ and ‘brow’ both used. I think A Stitch In Time actually used ‘eye’, even. I think I’d avoid orbital myself. It reminds me of back in the day when teenage girls used to call eyes ‘orbs’. I know it’s clinically and technically sound, but it just rings…

Eye ridges it is. I like Julian to think a bit clinically, but “orbital ridges” kind of clangs.

It’s a rough balance when it’s Julian.  To be so brilliant and so utterly not with it at the same time… Trying to write anything for him is really striking some kind of balance between medical textbook and carefree oblivious playtime.  I think it’s what makes him fun.

(Granted, oblivous playtime goes away a bit later, but still.)

Yes. He is such an utter goof. I get it. IRL, when I was younger, I was the same way - the smart kid with absolutely no common sense. It took a few years for me to season a bit and figure out why I kept pissing people off when I was right.

But he’s worth it. Getting into (early) Julian’s headspace is so freeing. He just doesn’t caaaaare~
