haha I love all of Garak’s comments from this episode.
Diversity is canon, so don’t let me hear any Trekkies complaining about actors of color getting cast in other fandoms…
“JAVERT CAN’T BE BLACK!’

“IF ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE WANTED WATSON TO BE A PERSON OF COLOR, HE WOULD HAVE WRITTEN HIM THAT WAY!”

“BOND IS WHITE IN THE BOOKS AND HE WILL STAY THAT WAY.”

“JESUS WAS WHITE.”

So I paused Star Trek to answer the phone, and when I went back to my computer I noticed that I had landed on a still of the representations of each character’s musical tastes.
As you can clearly see, Kirk’s air-guitaring is an obvious nod to his infatuation with hard core heavy metal. Bones’ Heart is clearly being Possessed by the emotional soul-wrenching ballads of Death Cab for Cutie, and after listening to a bunch of angsty-grunge, Scotty is feeling as though he’s been kicked in the nads by The Man. And of course, Mr. Spock - as ever - refuses to stop expressing his unyielding infatuation with Krautrock.

Oh , God, i love Star Trek for this idea:
(just a note, I could write about this a full essay applying cognitive linguistics)
In the words of Garak we know that one of the most perfect forms in Cardassian literature is the repetitive epic. It could not be otherwise: if cardassian memory is...
I need to think about this. Where can I find more examples of this? I want to play with it. Does Garak think like this in ASIT?
Also, can I love you forever, because you’re my kind of fan.
