knitordeath asked:

Hello Mr. Gaiman, my family has just finished up watching Good Omens (we loved it) and I was wondering if you could answer a question. There has been some debate as to wether or not Michael was in a wig or if his hair was bleached for Aziraphale? Because it looks like you can see some of the grow out in scenes but I'm not sure.

neil-gaiman answered:

His hair was very bleached. And they kept it very bleached.

sedgwickian-shipper asked:

Hi! Quick question from a medievalist about Crowley's hatred of the 14th century-- do you imagine it's something specific to/ one incident from the 1300s that makes him loathe it so? Or is it just the combination of general religious fervor and lack of technology and cool rock bands that make him resent it? (Or am I just overriding a throwaway joke? One works in subtext so long...) Thanks!

neil-gaiman answered:

Both Terry and I had read and loved Barbara Tuchman’s A Distant Mirror: The Calamitous Fourteenth Century. And it seemed to us that Crowley would have loved being out of the Fourteenth Century…

halfshadows6 asked:

Hi—first I wanted to say that I absolutely loved the adaptation of Good Omens, and second I had a question about the second episode, during the scene of Newt’s brief time as a wages clerk. Was that part deliberately filmed in that sort of shaky, abrupt, fast zoom style to allude to shows like The Office? Was just wondering because that’s immediately where my mind jumped to when I saw the camera work there.

neil-gaiman answered:

It was!

Idk man I very much disagree with the assertation that Crowley doesn’t eat, as any one who eats fast can confirm, this is EXACTLY what it’s like to get lunch with a slow eating friend

aziraphale: takes his time savoring individual flavors, carefully scooping just the right ratio of whipped cream and raspberry filling for every bite. Very tidy, napkin at hand, no crumbs on table.

crowley: scarfs down an entire slice of devils food cake in .03 seconds

#Crowley: *unhinges jaw slides contents of entire plate down throat*#Meanwhile Aziraphale is still working out what fork he wants to use
