I think one of the reasons Crowley is so taken aback and delighted by Aziraphale giving away his sword is -- Aziraphale never asked. Crowley fell for asking questions, but Aziraphale just disobeys. He never asks any questions -- he just immediately does what he thinks best, and he does so out of compassion, something neither angels or demons would do. And so for Crowley it's this moment of, like, You. You are different.
