Hello Neil, at the Southbank event you've said that one of your favourite Good Omens scene was improvised by Michael and David after the scripted one ended and the cameras kept rolling. Which one it was if you can tell? Thank you. (Love Good Omens, thank you so much!)

neil-gaiman answered:

It’s the last few lines on the Park Bench on the Monday before Armageddon.

@neil-gaiman If I am not too daring too ask, which last few lines? The whole Aziraphale’s ‘changing the subject’ seems seamless. :) I checked against a script book and everything is there (also how does that work? Do those lines get added to the script book? :))

Good Omens was so amazing. I just have to let you know that my favorite line had to be “I believe in peace, bitch.” That’s one of my favorite lines from a Tori Amos song ever and it was perfect. It was a shame the people I was watching it with didn’t get the reference, but my mom got excited too when I texted her about it.

neil-gaiman answered:

I like the idea that Pepper’s mum plays lots of Tori, Ani DiFranco, and Indigo Girls. And that Pepper grew up with those lyrics as part of the air she breathed.

Hi, Neil! The show is utterly brilliant but one thing has been bothering me - why did you change the scene where Aziraphale breathes life back into the dead dove when in book it's Crowley who does that? I liked it so much, it made the fact that he is a force for good so clear.

neil-gaiman answered:

Basically, it was changed for blocking. What the actors were able to do: we needed to get Crowley into the car, and Aziraphale was standing some distance away. Had I been on location that day I might have been able to suggest some options (I was at Bard for a couple of weeks, teaching) but I suspect that I would have agreed with the way they did it. I miss Crowley bringing the dove back to life, just as I miss Crowley almost drowning the duck in St James’s Park earlier.
