Star Trek AU where the transporters make the nail-on-chalkboard sound whenever they’re used
Even more cursed (curseder?) AU where the transporters make the styrofoam-rubbing-on-styrofoam noise
Snakes are known for their iconic S-shaped movements. But they have a less noticeable skill that gives them a unique superpower.
Snakes can crawl in a straight line.
University of Cincinnati biologist Bruce Jayne studied the mechanics of snake movement to understand exactly how they can propel themselves forward like a train through a tunnel.
“It’s a very good way to move in confined spaces,” Jayne said. “A lot of heavy-bodied snakes use this locomotion: vipers, boa constrictors, anacondas and pythons.”
His study titled “Crawling without Wiggling” was published in December in the Journal of Experimental Biology.
This blog now has 3000 followers! To honor this occasion, I have made another Reaction Trek compilation.
Bonus:

Enjoy!
I feel like this is a thing that isn’t said often enough, but if you see an artist underpricing their work, instead of lecturing them on pricing, buy some art from them and insist upon paying what you think it’s worth. It is far more encouraging as an artist to have someone say ‘your art is worth more and here is the money for it’ than to hear ‘your art is worth more and you’re hurting every other artist here and no I’m not going to actually buy art from you, raise your prices anyways’
I like being by myself late at night, playing on Tumblr while CBC gets weird in the background.
reminder: you can start over at anytime. your day is not ruined. your world is not over. take a deep breath. start over.
so apparently some people feel like it’s annoying when someone engages with a lot of stuff from the same person, like going through their ship tag and liking all the content there.
hearing about this, i was immediately paranoid about reblogging literally anything from anyone i don’t talk to on a regular basis.
so to save others from the same paranoia, i’m gonna say that if you like every single post on my goddamn blog it is okay. i might be kind of concerned about your level of time management, going through 23,000 posts, but it wouldn’t bother me.
I’ve had people discover my blog and do this, and honestly I consider it a huge compliment. Don’t be shy, blow up my notes, enjoy my total bullshit.
